Illustration Friday - ENVY

Click on thumbnail for full image. I painted this in Open Canvas, altered a photo with Photoshop and pasted it in as a layer, and added the text with Photoshop. Total time: 20 minutes.
I have another idea that I might have time to submit.

Envy, like beauty, appears to be in the eye of the beholder. I loved this illustration!

Why is green associated with envy?
The link comes from the ancient Greeks who thought jealous feelings led to an overproduction of bile, giving the sufferer a pale, greenish hue.
I was wondering why green is associeted with envy also, glad you told me! I don't know how to use photo shop to I'm really impressed. Nice illo and wow, only 20 minutes? I'm so slow mine take a couple hours usually.
Your illustration is sooooo true! Nice work and nice effects, and thanks for the little snippet on why "green with envy".
